Il corso, tenuto presso il paese di Calascio in Abruzzo, verterà sul corretto metodo per la tintura naturale con coloranti estratti da piante tintorie tradizionali e autoctone, permettendo quindi di ottenere una palette di colori unica legata al territorio, in seconda battuta si studieranno sulla particolarità chimica dell’indaco e le relative modalità di estrazione e utilizzo in tintura.

The course covers traditional Shibori techniques for tie-dye, stitch-dye, fold-dye, pole wrap-dye, etc. as well as three-dimensional effects, appropriate for creation of garments having great impact and artistic interest.

Il corso ripercorrerà l’evoluzione del ricamo in Italia dal Medioevo sino a tutto l’Ottocento in ambito sia laico (arredo e abbigliamento) sia ecclesiastico e prevederà l’analisi di manufatti, dipinti e fonti documentarie. Grazie al confronto con diverse tipologie artistiche, gli allievi acquisiranno le conoscenze necessarie per tracciare l’evoluzione del ricamo dal punto di vista stilistico e tecnico.

Il corso insegna le basi della tecnica del merletto ad ago, dalla costruzione del cartoncino di lavoro e il percorso di realizzazione del merletto, attraverso la realizzazione di semplici bordini di abbellimento che potranno essere utilizzati per rifinire colli e polsini.

The lessons review the techniques and styles typical of several regions of Italy - Tuscany, Lombardy, Umbria, Sicily, Sardinia - from the thread to the finished fabric.

A basic course for learning the embroidery technique known as ‘punto Bargello’ or ‘flame stitch’. This eminently Florentine counted-thread technique, whose origins lie in the far-off 15th century, calls for upright flat stitches laid in an opportune mix of colour to create particular three-dimensional effects.

Il corso di upcycling "Il giorno della Taranta", tenuto presso il paese di Calascio in Abruzzo, mira alla creazione manuale di una borsa e/o un cappello cuffia a partire da un iconico oggetto della tradizione: la coperta abruzzese. La tecnica di confezionamento - a cura dell' Atelier Fade Out Label - consisterà nel riportare il cartamodello sulla coperta, taglio e assemblaggio tramite l'uso di macchine da cucire e rifiniture manuali.

Il corso di upcycling "pescatori di olive", tenuto presso il paese di Calascio in Abruzzo, mira alla customizzazione di uno o più capi (t-shirt o felpa) che il partecipante porterà con sé. Durante il laboratorio dell'Atelier Fade Out Label saranno presentate una selezione di tecniche per la customizzazione del proprio vecchio indumento attraverso l'utilizzo della rete: Intarsio, Applicazione e Patchwork.
