The Flapp armchair was born from the important collaboration with the Pozzebon upholstery. A true masterpiece of craftsmanship that sees the “Veronese” fabric as the dominant element. An armchair with an elegant design symbol of great mastery of execution that also gives elegance to the rooms where it is located.

Born from the important collaboration with the Confraternity of the Blessed Virgin of Suffrage and thanks to the meticulous supervision of Attorney Stefano Marchesi, this hand embroidery was created by Master Artisan Cristian Minuti on a fabric by the Lisio Foundation, for the Chapel dedicated to the Eucharistic Mystery in San Giorgio in Sopramuro, Piacenza.

A new life for the Captain of the People’s ceremonial costume. The garment with giaco, worn by time and years of use, has been faithfully renewed. Originally made in the 1970s using fabric woven by the Fondazione Lisio, it has now been recreated through the Foundation’s handwoven Lorenzetti lampas—a sumptuous silk and gold fabric with a brown ground decorated with lions and peacocks—and expertly tailored by the Fondazione Lisio’s workshop.

From the important collaboration with Mon Chat Noir, the IBIS handbag was created. A true masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship, featuring precious fabrics, velvets, and brocades as its defining elements of absolute elegance. Masterful execution and refined design make it a jewelry-like high fashion accessory.

A request by the Imago Antiqua cultural association sparked the project aimed at recreating a 15th-century silk fabric: the Cavaniglia-pattern damask, a replica of the damask used for the funeral doublet of Don Diego Cavaniglia, a noble condottiere from the Campania region who met his death in Otranto in 1481. The project targeted the world of ‘Living History’ and offers support to all historical re-enactors interested in using truly high-profile silk products in their activities.

The three costumes presented, all made from LISIO textiles, come from a highly original private collection inspired by the intense interest of its creator – Mara Bertoli – in the history of fashion and costumes. Her creation of historical costumes now became invested with an antiquarian’s determination to ensure that every refined detail was absolutely right for the context in terms of authentic style, textile and pattern.

The Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio partners with Weekend Max Mara for the special Pasticcino Bag "Italian Roots," celebrating the 10th anniversary of the iconic bag with exquisite jacquard fabrics inspired by the Tuscan Renaissance. This partnership brings together the Foundation’s master craftsmanship and the marble clasps from Atelier Budri, blending historical tradition with contemporary design.

Since 2016, Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio has been participating in the project for reconstructing the textiles in the ceremonial halls of the royal apartment of Augustus II ‘the Strong’ in Dresden: upwards of 400 metres of crimson-red solid-colour silk velvet and about 100 metres of drap d'or (gold ‘teletta’). All, it goes without saying, woven by hand.

Among its stars, the Dolce&Gabbana team of artisans counts Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio with brocades personally selected by Domenico Dolce for the precious creations seen at the D&G runway shows.

In 1997, maison Fendi chose Fondazione Lisio to develop a series of innovative projects that culminated in production of eleven collections of absolutely original fabrics used for constructing the famous Baguette handbags.

For this prestigious and historic occasion, Siena’s Contrada della Tartuca turned to Fondazione Lisio for production of precious damasks for the liveries of the drummer, the standard bearers and the official page – destined for use on official occasions and also for the costumes for the ‘Giro’.

The request made to our costume experts was to create a reticella hairnet with historic references, for use in ‘Living History’ re-enactments, and above all, a product created by hand.

Fondazione Lisio was honoured to attend the Holy Father’s General Audience of 10 October 2012, during which it presented Pope Benedict XVI with a stole created especially for the pontiff by the manufactory’s master artisans on occasion of the start of the Year of Faith.
