VI edition Master I level "Textile - Creation of Art Fabrics" 2023/2024
The one-year Master's program is offered by the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in collaboration with the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio (Florence). Its aim is to establish a center of excellence for textile design and manufacturing in Italy. Students have completed internships and placements with textile companies, textile artisans, fashion design studios, art galleries, museums, and organizations dedicated to textile culture.
How to enroll for VI edition Master I level "Textile - Creation of Art Fabrics" 2023/2024
ATTENDANCE - Mandatory.
DURATION - The Master's Program in Textile – Creation of Artistic Textiles has an overall duration of one academic year, with a total workload of 1,500 hours, corresponding to 60 CFA (Academic Credits).
QUALIFICATION AWARDED - Participants who have attended at least 80% of the teaching activities, earned all the academic credits required by the study plan, and successfully passed the final examination will be awarded a First-Level Academic Master's Degree.
AVAILABLE PLACES AND ENROLMENT - To ensure that students have access to the looms and all the technical equipment provided by the Fondazione Lisio, the number of available places is limited to ten.
CANDIDATE SELECTION - Admission to the Master's Program is based on a merit selection process. The selection examination consists of a multiple-choice and/or open-ended test covering the following subjects: 20th-century Art and Fashion History, Textile Culture, Basic Computer Skills, and Italian language proficiency, followed by a motivational interview.
The schedule and the list of candidates admitted to the selection examination will be published on the official websites of the Academy and the Fondazione Lisio by 12 November 2023. The selection process will be completed by 25 November 2023.
The names of the candidates admitted to the Master's Program will be published on the official websites of the Academy and the Fondazione Lisio by 28 November 2023. This publication shall constitute official notification to all candidates.
TUITION FEE - €5,000.
APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT - Candidates admitted to the Master's Program must complete the online enrolment procedure by 4 December 2023.
After this deadline, should any admitted candidate fail to enrol, and provided that the selection process has taken place, candidates next on the ranking list will be admitted until all available places have been filled, provided that the entire enrolment procedure is completed by 10 December 2023, extended to 11 January 2024.
Enrolment in the Master's Program must be completed online according to the instructions provided by the Academy's Academic Office.
