The new arrival to the Fondazione Lisio
Tiziana Barison has accepted a new challenge at the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio and, starting next September, will join the team as General Director.
A textile entrepreneur, she has spent the last 25 years working with great passion in her family business, the renowned company “Tendaggisti Barison”, located in the historic centre of Udine. It is a historic workshop with an international clientele, where tradition and innovation coexist, together with continuous research and a deep passion for the textile sector.
She writes for a specialized architecture and design magazine, where she leads a Home Decor column, and collaborates with schools to promote textile culture and nurture an appreciation of beauty among younger generations.

Historical research, passion, and entrepreneurship
In recent years, the Fondazione Lisio has undergone significant development, expanding and strengthening its range of products and services. This evolution has created the need for innovative solutions to support a historic manufacturing institution with more than a century of experience.
The role of Tiziana Barison will be crucial in defining strategies and coordinating the different areas of activity.
The new Director comments:
“My arrival at the Foundation stems from a desire for research and for creating a connection between business and textile culture. I would like to bring to the attention of the world a true jewel of weaving, a heritage of Italian craftsmanship.
All of this will be possible thanks to the intrinsic value of the Foundation and the synergy between the skills and expertise of each individual.”
With great determination and passion, Tiziana Barison embraces this new and important challenge, drawing inspiration from Seneca’s “Moral Essays”:
“...there is a mutual advantage, because while people teach, they learn.”
Best wishes for your work, Tiziana, and welcome to our team.
