Penko for Lisio Foundation: the "Dolce Firenze" jewels
The Dolce Firenze collection by Paolo Penko reinterprets the Medici symbol of the Three Rings. It is inspired by the precious brooch created by the Penko Goldsmith Workshop for the Haute Couture event “Il Rinascimento e la Rinascita”, which was showcased on the dress created by Dolce & Gabbana using Fondazione Lisio brocades: the “Anelli” brocade and the “Veronese” brocade (Palazzo Vecchio, 2020).
On 20 April 2022, on the occasion of the preview of the new collections, “Vera” and “Dolce Firenze”, the Penko goldsmith workshop donated the first piece from the “Dolce Firenze” collection to the Fondazione Lisio, sealing the close collaboration between the two entities and permanently bringing together the iconic pieces that walked the runway together for Dolce & Gabbana in 2020.

From the handwoven brocade to the Penkato brooch
The design and shape of this jewel fully reproduce the precious decorations of the “Anelli” brocade, one of the iconic fabrics of the Lisio manufacture. The design, from the Historical Archive of the Fondazione Lisio, is inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s painting “Pallas and the Centaur”, preserved at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, where the heraldic emblems of the Medici family appear on the goddess’s garment.
The precious metal is crafted using traditional Florentine techniques of openwork and engraving. The Penkato technique enhances its brightness and luminosity.
The collection includes earrings and pendants in silver and gold, available in different sizes and customizable upon request.
